With the BLOOM SENSE collection, the Karman Jewelry wanted to capture the nature and essence of spring, the fragile, delicate essence of spring flowers and foliage. All the pieces are individual, the heat used in the process creates random curves and planes in the plastic material. The translucent material represents well the lightness and delicateness of flower petals.
The individual clear and opal petals group together to give the jewellery a fragile, flowing shape. The pieces are modelled after the anatomy of actual flowers and the process that produces them wilts the material into a natural form. The heat treatment process, which the designer is using for the first time, is the result of several experiments and prototypes. Nominated by Anna Juhász: ‘Orsolya Kármán, jewellery designer’s whole life is about creativity. The jewellery designer profession roots on many fields. Orsolya got her degree in Applied Graphics at MOME. She fulfilled a job as an Art Director for more than a decade during which her work was defined by creating booklets, stamp designs, images, and planing exhibitions. Her commitment and love for fashion changed the way she expresses her creativity, she started new and planned her jewellery design career by establishing her own brand, Karman Jewellery which is very successful. Her motto is that the jewellery created by her needs to be worn, loved and brought into life. The latest BLOOM SENSE collection is the most aerial and finest collection released by her for now. Orsi is unique because not in any cause would she join the trends, she creates her own world which offers a beautiful journey, a journey to our inner-self, to a magical world with light, brightness, effortlessness that frees us from our everyday problems, questions. Her jewellery offers a lot.’
