DECO COLLECTION
Contemporary geometry with a touch of vintage - The inspiration of the collection comes from the late Art Deco Bakelite jewelry style.
A bold, and at the same time respectful, reinterpretation of a legendary era with a modern and contemporary approach true to Karman’s style.

EVOKE COLLECTION
We cannot forget the ’70s which comes back again and again. Orsolya Karman cannot forget her graphic designer past, it emerges again and again. When trends and instincts meet, wonderful things happen, like the newest collection from Orsi, EVOKE.
Every ring, bangle, earring, brooch and necklace seems to be a little piece of art, inspired by the graphic design of the ’70s, especially Burton Kramer, and the mind-boggling visuality of Op Art. Lines and stripes, strict geometrical shapes, planes and spatial proportions are all participants in the game. Layers, colours and compositions add new dimensions to strict graphic rules. Pieces of simply, colourful plastic turn into elements of art with the help of laser cut technology.
EVOKE by Karman makes our present more beautiful by reviving the playful, free spirit of the past.

EDGE COLLECTION
A Sharp Change: Edge by Karman Jewelry
Karman Jewelry’s latest collection is a perfect example of the invigorative and experimental style characteristic of this brand. The Edge Collection is based on geometric uniformity and symmetric beauty. While a strong departure from the rich organic and natural forms of the Bloom Sense and Deep Sense collections, all natural forms no matter how random they may appear, are built on a strict order of structure. In this sense this collection is not as surprising a departure as it may seem.
The use of strictly geometric shapes simplified to the extreme gives the collections minimalist pieces an exciting, spatial composition. The straight lines of bent edges both link and define the pieces regular forms. The material, both rigid and flexible, allow for a rhythmic flow from triangle to rhombus. Harsh and soft edges and angles intermix with planes is an exciting spatial sequence.
The juxtaposition of hard and soft is present in both the material and colors used in the collection. For instance the designer further softens the use of white plastic with a softer pastel layer. In addition to adding a visually dramatic effect it makes certain pieces, such as bracelets and necklaces, more comfortable to wear. The collection is comprised of spectacular bracelets, necklaces and chokers, brooches, oversized statement pieces and even some single sided earrings - which, being asymmetrical, makes the geometry even more captivating to look at.
The packaging design by Edinas Paper for the Karman pieces are in themselves works of art that reinterpret the character of the piece in paper while protecting it as well, naturally.
Edge pieces harken back to the heyday of the 1970s geometric fashion and art period which has seen a resurgence of late but they would also make excellent accessories to any minimalist outfit of today.

DEEP SENSE COLLECTION
With this wonderful collection, Karman wanted to capture the nature and essence of spring as well as the fragile, delicate essence of flowers and foliage.
All pieces are original and unrepeatable. The heat used technique for the process creates random curves and planes in the material. The translucency nicely reproduced the lightness and delicateness of flower petals.

BLOOM SENSE COLLECTION
With the BLOOM SENSE collection I wanted to capture the nature and essence of spring, the fragile, delicate essence of Spring flowers and foliage. All pieces are original, the heat used in the process creates random curves and planes in the material. The translucent material well represents the lightness and delicateness of flower petals. The individual clear and opal pedals group together to give the jewelry a fragile, flowing shape. The pieces are modeled after the anatomy of actual flowers and the process that produces them wilts the material in to a natural form.
